Fun, laughter, music, workshops, networking and dancing – the Feel at Home In The Hague Fair last Sunday (31st Jan 2016) was a huge success!
A wide cross-section of internationals from The Hague were out in colourful fashion – displaying, in their own unique ways, what it is that makes this city feel like home to them.
The AATG (Anglo American Theatre Group) filtered through the crowd draped in colourful and wacky costumes, dressing up willing victims that crossed their paths.
Orchestra’s, dancers and choirs decked the podium and balconies of the Atrium, serenading us with painstakingly practiced numbers – aimed to enchant.
Businessmen and women, dressed to impress, manned their stands – handing out leaflets, business cards and advice to those, for whom networking and career development are not just beneficial but essential…
All the while, smiles, games and entertainment greeted passers-bye from every-which direction…
Set in such a vast venue – one may have had doubts about the Fairs ability to fill such a space – but The Hague’s City Hall (or Atrium) proved, once again, to be the perfect spot for this occasion and the Feel at Home community, were more than up to the task.
Embracing this years theme of ‘innovation‘ – exhibitors were given islands to do with what they would. From the school quarter, which was transformed into a type of technology playground, and an allotment dedicated to chocolate sculptures – to blocked off floors and meeting rooms dedicated to business-building seminars and ex-pat oriented workshops.
Over 4,000 children, career men and woman, families, student media crews, exhibitors, seminar lecturers, costume-clad performers (and the busy men and women that worked behind the scenes to keep it all running) intermingled, shared meaningful looks, smiles, information and generally a very jovial time.
Making this truly the biggest international community event in the region!

Interview’s, information and eventually a video of the Fair will also be uploaded over the coming weeks – to keep you all abreast of the what, who, when and where’s of our bustling city!
